We had worked in the past with this homeowner, installing extensive landscaping at their previous home. When they decided to build a new home, they called us to help them again.
The new property required privacy due to the close proximity of the neighboring houses. To achieve this, we worked closely with the homeowners to design and install trees and plantings along the property lines to screen the view. Heritage River Birch trees, among others, were chosen for their fullness and height. We also installed the plantings around the foundation of the house. Natural stone accent walls were built along the edge of the planting beds using stone which complemented the stone used on the house itself. We installed low voltage lighting directed up onto the house as well as onto select trees.
Due to the large roof area, we installed a drainage system to direct the rain water. The downspouts were piped underground and flow into a drywell at the rear of the property. Perforated ADS pipe also collects water along raised planting beds. This surface water is directed into the drywell, as well, to reduce puddling on both their yard as well as their neighbor's property.
