Repair existing paver pool deck, retaining wall and fence
The homeowners had previosly contracted another firm to install the paver patio, retaining wall and fence around their pool. The site consisted of clay soil and poor drainage which were not addressed with the initial intallation. Because water pocketed around the pool, the pavers heaved and the wall shifted. The fence was also not installed properly, which allowed it to settle and shift.
The first photo shows the condition of the pavers before we started the job. Our crew had to completely re-install the pavers, re-build the wall and re-install the fence. We removed the existing pavers, wall block and the base material. Our crew installed a drainage system with 3/4 inch crushed stone and drainage pipe. The clay soil was removed and processed gravel was spread and compacted to provide a firm base for the patio and the retaining wall. The original footings for the fence posts consisted of concrete set 1.5 feet in the ground. These footings were removed and replaced with building forms set 4 feet into the ground and filled with new concrete.
Once we were finished, the pool area looked fantastic and will remain that way for many years to come.
