Two-tiered pond with a twelve foot wide water fall
The owners of this property had a water garden at their previous home which we had designed and installed for them. Knowing they would put a water feature at their new home, they brought their Koi with them and kept them in a large aquarium in their home.
We worked closely with the homeowners to design and install a water garden to appeal to their taste. The upper pond acts as a reflecting pool, spanning the edge of the concrete patio off the back of the house. Our crew constructed a framework with concrete blocks and veneered natural stone to the face of it to simulate a dry-stacked stone wall. A twelve foot wide waterfall flows down into the lower pond. The lower pond is deep enough so that the Koi can winter over in the pond. A shelf was constructed around the perimeter of the lower pond so that plants can be placed on it.
