Replacement of the Existing Wall with Celtik Wall Block made by Belgard
The retaining walls pictured above, built by the homeowner’s craftsmanship 45 years ago, have started to lean. Since safety was a concern, replacing the walls became necessary. Due to the elevation of the property, our designer recommended splitting the walls, filling the space between the walls with loam for future plantings and color, and providing our customer a welcome entranceway to their home.
Our retaining walls were built using Celtic Wall Block by Belgard in the Charcoal Gray blend. The stair locations remained to access the sidewalks. The steps leading to the front door were widened to 5-6 feet with a flare at the driveway. The stairs on the left side of the driveway were widened to 4 feet with the same type of flare at the driveway. The walls were rounded at the end of the driveway and lowered to increase visibility of the street. The driveway itself was widened between the road and the steps. The completed Celtic Wall Block retaining walls, pictured above, have enhanced this homeowner’s property.
