A retaining wall was initially built at the bottom of this hill to eliminate a drainage issue at the basement entrance and a/c unit. Two drains between the deck and wall were installed and run to the drainage system for the retaining walls. Two smaller walls were also built: one at the back of the a/c unit and extending over to the base of the higher retaining wall. The other small wall was installed to the right of the basement door. The walls were constructed out of Brussels Block Dimensional Wall System in the Sierra Blend manufactured by Unilock.
A Brussels Block paver landing was installed in the Sierra Blend in front of the cellar door extending over to the two smaller walls. Our crew leveled the a/c unit and installed pavers under it for a finished look to the area.
