Backyard Renovation with Pool–Feeding Hills, MA

The first phase of work for Hartley Bros. Landscaping, Westfield, MA was to prepare the customer’s backyard for the installation of a built in pool. The Hartley Bros. crew then installed a Goshen Stone Retaining Wall with Goshen Stone Flagging Steps leading to an upper sidewalk and terrace. The next phase consisted of terracing the sloped area of the yard with a second Goshen Stone Retaining Wall. Surrounding the pool area, the Hartley Bros. installed a paver terrace using Brussels Block Pavers in the Sierra Blend with Fullnose Coping Untumbled in the Coffee Creek Blend manufactured by Unilock. To accent the entire pool terrace, a border was installed using the Series 3000 Pavers in the Black Granite also by Unilock.
Complimenting the entire transformation are the beautiful landscaped plantings that were mounded, accenting the shrubs and trees, and dressed with Hemlock Mulch. Our customer’s backyard will now bloom with color throughout the spring into fall. A Forester Aluminum Fence in Black secures the area.
